“As an avid follower, promoter, musician, and radio host of African Music, I can't recommend enough our local West African
drum and dance troup Lannaya for a slot in this coming Austin
City Limits Music Festival. Lannaya's mix of live, high tempo
energetic drumming, combined with their beautiful athletic
dancers make them a prime choice for the festival.
After the 2 fires destroyed KOOP Radio last year, I scheduled a
benefit including Lannaya as well as other big acts like Grupo
Fantazma. The crowd was so into Lannaya, the kept asking for
more more more, even though the Fantasma boys were on the
stage ready to start. Lannaya's ability to interact with the crowd
kept them wanting more. They take minimal sound requirement
and can exit the stage in a parade out into the audience, and the
stage hands can begin the set up for the next band, even as
Lannaya keeps on going with the crowd.
Please consider Lannaya as you schedule local, entertaning, and
ultra crowd engaging acts to this years lineup. I will be happy to
introduce them!!!
